Musicians of Bremen
The Musicians of Bremen (Die Bremer Stadtmusikanten) is a German folk tale collected by the Brothers Grimm and originally published in 1819. The story follows four unhappy animals, a donkey, a dog, a cat and a cockerel, who meet on the road to Bremen where they plan to start new lives as town musicians.
While on the road the animals come across a cottage and, climbing on each others backs, they peer into the window to find a band of robbers enjoying their ill-gotten gains.
These animals are drawn with simple arcs and lines, and then cut, shaped and sanded from from Douglas fir.
