Curio Studio was started by Tom Wilson, a practicing architect, in 2013. It was born out of a desire to practice a more complete creating process enabling design and making to inform one another, in a way that they can only do when the designer is the maker.

Scale of production is small and sometimes slow. Objects are not large and sometimes very small. Chosen materials are natural, responsibly sourced and will often become more beautiful with age and use. I aspire to make objects that are considered, original and of heirloom quality.

As well as making objects to satisfy my own curiosity, I love the unexpected places that commissions can lead to. If you would like to know more about any of my work, or would like to discuss a commission, then I would love to hear from you.

You can also find more information about my work via the Craft Council's makers directory
